The Palatium Hotel Rome sits in a tranquil and verdant location just outside of Rome's city centre in the Aurelio neighbourhood. The area is so called because it straddles the historic Via Aurelia, one of the oldest roads of ancient Rome, leading out of the original city gates west towards the airport and coast and then north eventually all the way to France - or Gaul as it was once known!

Palatium Hotel Rome BY AIR The nearest airport - and Rome's principal airport - is Fiumicino Leonardo da Vinci. This is a straight run down the Via Aurelia from the hotel and the whole journey should take no more than half an hour by car or taxi. Palatium Hotel Rome GOING IT ALONE If you'd prefer to arrive by public transport simply take the Metro to Battistini at the end of the red line and rendezvous with our driver. Battistini is a straight run from Termini, the city's principal train station and public transport hub. Palatium Hotel Rome BY CAR Whether approaching from north or south join the A90 city ring road (known as the Gran Raccordo Anulare or GRA) and enter on the Via Aurelia, which is on the west side. A taxi from the airport will not offer the fixed tariff to the historical centre as we're outside the ancient city walls.
